FAQs
What does a collaboration with Hearth & Fable look like?
Collaborations with Hearth & Fable are rooted in shared values, creativity, and mutual support. Each collaboration is a thoughtful partnership where we work together to create embroidered (and sometimes printed) pieces inspired by your work, audience, or story.
Collaborations can take many forms — from limited-edition product drops and guest artist features to author-inspired collections. We’ll collaborate on concept, artwork, and product selection, and I’ll handle the digitizing, production, and fulfillment. Revenue splits, timelines, and scope are discussed upfront so everything feels clear and collaborative from the start.
What designs work well in embroidery?
Embroidery works best with designs that embrace texture, linework, and intentional detail. Artwork with clear shapes, thoughtful spacing, and a limited color palette tends to translate beautifully into stitches.
That said, part of my role in a collaboration is helping adapt designs for embroidery. I’ll guide you through what will stitch well, suggest adjustments if needed, and handle the digitizing process to ensure the final piece stays true to your original vision while working harmoniously with thread and fabric.
Can I sell your embroidery designs on my site too?
In most cases, collaborative designs are created specifically for Hearth & Fable and sold through my shop. This helps keep the collaboration cohesive and ensures quality, consistency, and a smooth experience for customers.
That said, every collaboration is different. If you’re interested in selling embroidered pieces through your own site or shop as well, we can absolutely discuss licensing, exclusivity, and logistics to see what makes sense for both of us.
Who owns the artwork in a collaboration?
You retain ownership of your original artwork. Any usage, licensing, or exclusivity for embroidered designs is clearly outlined and agreed upon before the collaboration begins.
